Each spring, just as the Cape shakes off the final chill of winter, the daffodils around us begin to bloom—bright, golden, and full of joy. Scattered like colorful confetti, they are are such a gift for the eyes after a long gloomy winter (and sometimes spring). These early blossoms have always felt like a gentle celebration: a cheerful reminder that warmer, lighter days are ahead.
This year, I felt especially drawn to capture their spirit in watercolor. I wanted to paint pieces that felt like a breath of fresh air—soft, serene, and full of life. Whether swaying beside quiet marsh paths, these daffodils seemed to hold both joy and calm, which is exactly what I hope this small collection brings into your home.
